Andrey N. Filippov

Andrey N. Filippov has over 25 years of experience in the
embedded systems design. Since graduation from the Moscow Institute for
Physics and Technology in 1978 he worked for the General Physics
Institute (Moscow, Russia) in the area of high-speed high-resolution, mixed signal
design, application of PLDs and FPGAs, and microprocessor-based embedded system
hardware and software design, with a special focus on image acquisition methods
for laser physics studies and computer automation of scientific experiments. Andrey
holds a PhD in Physics from the Moscow Institute for Physics and Technology.

In 1995 Andrey moved to the United States and after working for Cordin
Company (Salt Lake City, Utah) for 6 years in 2001 started Elphel, Inc.
dedicated to doing business in emerging field of open systems based on
free (GNU/GPL) software and open hardware.

Faris Chebib

Faris Chebib is a Junior Programmer at Elphel. He is responsible for the production and maintenance of higher-level debugging tools and user interface. Faris is also known as 'octaflop' at launchpad, where he occasionally works on bug patches. He is currently a student in the field of Cognitive Science and resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.

Joan Alvey

Joan Alvey Graduated from Utah State University in 1983, with Bachelors degree in Organizational Communication. Working in the accounting field for over 20 years. Met Andrey Filippov in 1998. Started working part-time for Elphel in 2003, then full time at Elphel in 2006 as the Office Manager and bookkeeper. Love's the outdoors, other interest are gardening, hiking and camping.

Oleg Dzhimiev

Oleg Dzhimiev Graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, in 2006, earning a Master's Degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics. Worked for 2 years in IPCME and in 2008 joined Elphel as an Electronic Engineer. Working with FPGA programming and verification.

Andrey V. Latin

Andrey V. Latin graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Vladimir in 1985, with an Engineering degree. He is a start-mainframes(IBM 360/370) adjustment, the development of microprocessor systems (Intel 8080/8085/8086), programming C / C + +. More than 10 years DBA Oracle RDB on Open VMS, Comaq ASE AlphaServer Midrange OpenVMS. Since 2005, working at Elphel - software developer. As for personal interests he enjoys network programming, the embedded development, computer graphics, multimedia streaming, also plays table tennis.

Alexandre G. Poltorak

Alexandre G. Poltorak is a Free and Open Source Movement activist. He founded his first FOSS company in 1999, introducing many individuals to GNU/Linux and teaching students about LPI.org and preparing them to pass LPI exams. Alexandre's students have had success in creating new companies, products and ideas with GNU/Linux as the foundation of their business models. In 2006 Alexandre participate in the creation of Free-IT-Foundation - a non profit Foundation promoting GNU/Linux and FreeSoftwares in big companies, governmental and ONG structures.

Alexandre's goals, at Elphel, are to consolidate Elphel's business model, build a solid and productive relation with Universities, FOSS community & partner networks.

Larry Liang

Larry Liang is the founder of Elphel.CN Inc, one of the company member of Elphel project. Larry is located in Shanghai, China, where he got a PhD of mechanical engineering. During the past several years, Larry has worked on several projects related the image/video capture, transfering and processing. Larry is responsible for the mechanical design of Elphel camera's. He can help you in the application of Elphel's camera.

Zheng Wensai

Zheng Wensai Wensai Zheng has worked for Elphel since 2005, in the area of Hardware and embedded software Development. His technical activity, with Elphel, is with embedded Linux support; usb module development in our cameras. As for personal interests he enjoys the embedded development, video process, mixed signal design,other hardware design .

Dmitry V. Belimov

Dmitry V. Belimov has worked for Elphel since 2005, in the area of Hardware Development. Dmitry is the Founder and still maintains openhardware.ru, a Russian site for open hardware development. In 1998 completed his training at the Tomsk Institute of Control Systems and Radio Electronics. In 1999 Dmitry was involved with computers: networks and systems. He has also worked extensively with Linux for an ISP.

Victor V. Vyasovtsev

Victor V. Vyasovtsev has worked for Elphel since 2005, developing the user interface software in our cameras. Victor completed his training, in 1997, from Tomsk Institute of the Automated Control Systems and Radio Eletronics, specializing in Industrial Electronics. Since 1990, Victor, has been employed as a professional programmer. In 2000 Victor started his work with Linux, he also has worked on ERP, Enterprise Resource Planning, as a leading expert. In 2002 he became a Supervisor of a program development group which focusesd on ERP Introduction Management.
